"We love Dirk's! It's our go-to place when we don't want to cook. Always good food and good friendly service. You've got to try the Chili, or on the weekend, go for the Clam Chowder for sure. You won't regret it! The menu has so many great options for everyone's tastes."

"Great place to eat! Food was excellent. We had the steak panini, and the turkey, bacon, avocado panini. Both were great. The fries (steak fries) were perfect, just enough batter to make them light and crispy. The service was great, and the decor and atmosphere were nice. Very clean place. Would give five stars if they offered a full menu for lunch. Definitely recommend eating here!"

“Yummy sandwich”- Reviewed October 29, 2011
"My husband and I stopped at Dirk's Farmhouse Grill for a late lunch while passing through Manti. We had the marinated, grilled turkey breast sandwich, and it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The turkey is a thick slice of natural turkey breast marinated with the same marinade popularized by the turkey sold in booths during the Manti Temple Pageant. It is then grilled and served on a toasted ciabatta roll, drizzled with garlic aioli. Lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickle are served on the side. The sandwich comes with a choice of sides. We picked the crispy fries which are lightly battered, wonderful and crispy.I would most definitely go to Dirk's again and try something else, though I can't imagine anything better than that sandwich."

"Seriously, a must visit.  If you happen to be near Ephraim or Mt Pleasant, or perhaps climbing at Maple Canyon, and you need a rest day activity - you MUST try out Dirk's Farmhouse in Manti.  We discovered it by chance, and being from California, it was a welcome change to the standard burger and fries you get everywhere else (though they do offer a pretty decent one!)

Dirk's is their second restaurant - the other one is Trattoria Contadina in SF at Union and Mason.  When you first read the menu, seeing things like "arugula" and "basil pesto" etc let you know you're in a place a la California cuisine, and definitely not small town Utah.  Then you taste it, and again, being from CA, look at the bill (so cheap!), and you know you've found a winner.

We went three times: once each for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Breakfast: a very full menu.  It was a tough decision, but we had the three egg omelet with Italian sausage, sundried tomatoes, pesto and a few other sundries.  Not to be disappointed, I could choose from roasted yukon gold potatoes or good ol' fashioned hash browns.  I chose the latter.  We also shared the french toast - simple texan toast in a well-seasoned batter: simple, but not over the top.  We could have chosen a few toppings such as bananas or blueberries, whipped cream etc.

Lunch: we went with some friends and so we got to try lots; I'll keep this short.  If you like barbacoa - try their turkey barbacoa salad (comes as a burrito at night).  The flat iron steak panini is awesome; and the pastrami sandwich comes packed with meat.  We opted for the Picadilly fries and added garlic.  YUM.  The picadilly fries are lightly fried crispy and served as little rectangle shapes.  They remind me a bit of tater tots.

Dinner: unfortunately, we were already stuffed from a day of eating, but the menu looked fabulous.  One could choose from Rib Eye, Grilled Salmon, a classic burger and many salads.  We opted for the spinach salad and burger.  The salad was very simple, but good.  Nothing exciting as far as salads go but still tasty (and a welcome serving of greens!).  The burger was tasty (I liked the bun!) and again, good with the picadilly fries.

Dessert: they offer a ton of home made pies, cookies and crisps.  The Apple Crisp was my fav.  :)
